Install: pick your CorelDRAW version
There are fifteen separate installers, one per CorelDRAW version. Choosing the one that matches your build is the whole job — everything else is next-next-finish.
Why the version matters
The add-on is a .cpg plugin. CorelDRAW loads it inside its own process, so it is compiled against one specific CorelDRAW version. A 2021 build simply cannot load into CorelDRAW 2020 — different interface, different memory layout. That is why we ship one installer per version instead of a single universal one.
Find your exact version
- Open CorelDRAW, go to Help → About CorelDRAW. The dialog shows the version number, for example
24.5.0.731. - Match the major number to a year:
24.xis CorelDRAW 2022,25.xis 2023, and so on. - If you are on X4–X8, the installer name says
x86. Everything from 2017 onwards isx64.
The supported matrix
- CorelDRAW X4, X5, X6, X7, X8 — 32-bit installers, one per version.
- CorelDRAW 2017 – 2026 — 64-bit installers, one per year.
An installer for a neighbouring version will install cleanly and then fail to load. That is the most common cause of “nothing happened” after a successful install.
Verify it loaded
- Start CorelDRAW and open any document.
- Look for the DTZSMART entry in the menu bar. A toolbar with the outline and send buttons appears next to it.
- If the menu is missing, see The add-on doesn't appear.
Next step
Installation is done in under a minute on a normal machine. After that, read Bitmap outline in five steps to get your first cutting path.
